Gender Gap Impact and the Paradox of Prosperity in the 21st Century

Reducing the Gender Gap in the Workplace
Journal · pp. 375-398
Abstract

Research indicates that economic prosperity does not necessarily equate to gender parity, with wealthier nations often exhibiting wider gender pay gaps. Globally, gender disparities are evident in job allocation, wages, and working hours, reflecting deep rooted systemic inequities. However, targeted interventions such as innovative initiatives, mentoring programs, equitable hiring practices, and policies promoting pay transparency and standardized starting salaries hold promise for addressing and reducing these inequities in the workforce. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
