Application of Association Rule Analysis in Vocational Education Student Career Path Planning

Abstract

Vocational education should not only pay attention to the cultivation of students' vocational skills, but also pay attention to students' career planning and development. Association rule analysis is a data mining technology, which is used to discover the correlation between data. This article studies the career development prediction model based on association rule analysis, aiming at improving the accuracy and effect of vocational education students' career path planning. By comparing the prediction effect of career development prediction model based on decision tree (DT) algorithm and this algorithm, this algorithm shows better performance in prediction accuracy and effect. Based on the analysis of association rules, this algorithm can deeply explore the correlation between students' individual characteristics and career development, and thus predict students' career path planning more accurately. Compared with the career development prediction model based on DT algorithm, the predicted value of this algorithm is closer to the actual value, and the analysis result of association rules is more intuitive and easy to understand, which is convenient for educators and students to understand the basis and significance of career path planning. © 2023 IEEE.
