Research on the Cultivation of Talents for Port and Shipping Industry Based on Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

With artificial intelligence (AI), the port and shipping industry is transforming for digitalization and intelligence. Thus, the demand for high-quality professionals continues to increase. Traditional classroom-centered teaching can no longer meet the current needs of the industry, and lipped classroom teaching in the context of 'Internet +' has become one of the teaching forms. To cultivate professionals for the future needs of the industry, a personalized learning path generation algorithm was created based on AI in this study. The development direction of the industry and the demand for talent were analyzed. The current problems in teaching were explored with modern educational concepts. The curriculum, teaching content, and teaching methods were analyzed to determine the direction of the reform and evaluate the current learning path. Due to the differences in the knowledge structure of students in different majors, their learning attitudes are different. Thus, a new personalized learning path-based teaching model was constructed to correspond to the individual differences of students and the needs of industries. © 2023 IEEE.
