Abstract

Digital media has a role in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine whether the application of the self-regulated learning model with the Alef Education platform can improve the high-order thinking skills of elementary school students. The population in this study were seventh-grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in the province of Bali. The sample was drawn by random clusters in stages of 324 students. Data were collected by tests. Testing the effectiveness of the HOTS test using the effect size test. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The implementation of the self-regulated learning model with the alef education platform can improve the high-order thinking skills of elementary school students in the Province of Bali with Es =0.83 including the criteria for high effectiveness. On the alef platform, there are interesting audiovisual learning videos, games, and tiered tests. The implication of this research is that the application of the self-regulated learning model with the alef education platform can improve the high-order thinking skills of elementary school students. © 2022 IEEE.
