Dual Vocational Education and Training (VET) has been implemented or is in the process of being implemented in a wide range of countries in southern and eastern Europe, with different traditions and forms of VET compared to the dual tradition originating in certain northern European countries. In the Spanish context, the European political objective of the North-South export of dual vocational training has been the subject of various studies that have illustrated the contradictions and difficulties inherent in this process. However, the question of the integration of the social partners, despite being a key aspect of the dual VET reference models, has not been the subject of specific research. This article , based on a European research project, aims to fill this gap in Spanish research on dual VET. It aims to analyse, firstly, the participation of social partners in the main state institutions of dual VET governance and, secondly, to compare the participation of social partners within the existing governance structures in three Autonomous Communities (Andalusia, Catalonia and the Basque Country). To address this objective, the article is based on the conceptual approach of systemic governance and a qualitative methodological approach that combines a documentary review with fieldwork using semi-structured interviews and an analysis procedure based on coding. The results reveal differences in the type of social partners’ involvement in the three Autonomous Communities. © 2024 Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED). All rights reserved.

Introduction. The relevance of studying the phenomenon of artistic literacy is determined by the fact that the ability to understand art is a necessary skill of a modern person. Artistic literacy at work refers to the ability to study art, as well as apply this knowledge when creating your own works of art. The purpose of this article : to study the characteristics of artistic literacy of undergraduates and masters of folk art culture. Materials and methods. This study of artistic literacy was carried out through a diagnostic method. The sample members were masters and undergraduates in the field of study 51.04.02 “Folk artistic culture” in the direction “Musical heritage of the Russian people”, studying or completing their studies at I.A. Bunin Yelets State University. The sample consisted of 43 respondents (N=43). At the time of the study, 19 subjects were studying in the 1st and 2nd years of a master’s degree; 24 subjects completed their studies in this master’s program in 2021-2023. The “Artistic Literacy Scale” by I. Yucetoker was identified as a diagnostic technique, which includes 26 statements. Each statement is asked to be rated on a 5-point scale. The artistic literacy scale consists of 4 factors: “Information need”, “Research activity”, “Use of knowledge of the artistic field in scientific activity”, “Transfer of the results of scientific research into the artistic field into performance and creativity”. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS software. To process the results of the diagnostic technique, a t-test for independent samples was used. Also, to identify certain aspects of the conditions for the formation of artistic literacy, interviews were conducted with some of the study participants. Results. The level of artistic literacy among all members of the sample is quite high. There were no statistically significant differences among the groups of respondents distributed by gender (t (43) = 1.42; p > 0.05), while statistically significant differences were observed between the groups of undergraduates and masters (t (43) = 3.02; p > 0.05). Master's students demonstrate better results, which is determined by their professional experience. The main problem areas for master's students are related to the use of knowledge of the artistic sphere in scientific activities and the transfer of the results of scientific research into the artistic sphere into performance and creativity. Apparently, the process of developing functional literacy at a professional level is associated not only with receiving vocational education, but also with the first experience of professional activity. The high level of artistic literacy of master's students is due to the presence of such circumstances as passion for a certain creative and/or performing practice, extensive experience of solo or group participation in various musical or cultural projects. Scientific novelty. For the first time, based on a sample of Russian students, the results of assessing artistic literacy are shown. Practical significance. The results of the study can be used to optimize the process of organizing research work of undergraduates, as well as industrial internships. © 2024 LLC Ecological Help. All rights reserved.

Against the backdrop of globalization and rapid technological development, the traditional Technical & Vocational Education (TVE) system is facing more and more challenges. As a rapidly developing economy, China is also exploring effective paths in combining education and industry. School-Enterprise Cooperation(S-EC), as an emerging education method, aims to realize the effective docking of education resources and market demand through close cooperation between schools and enterprises. At present, Chinese scholars have conducted extensive research on the model of S-EC, however, few systematic reviews of related studies were carried out. The purpose of this paper is to examine and assess the relevant literature concerning effective S-EC models in the last ten years from 2015 to 2024. The review includes sources in both Chinese and English languages. The author conducted individual assessments of titles, abstracts, and complete texts according to predefined eligibility criteria. 15 studies that met the eligibility criteria were included in the reviewed systematic review. Effective S-EC models mentioned in these articles can be summarized and classified into three types: School-led Model, Enterprise-led Model and School-Enterprise Cooperation Model, of which each is subordinate to 3-4 specific cooperation models. © The Research Publication.

Recent scientific works have shown that students’ interest in physics is declining. Given the importance of physics in the development of science and technology, it is obvious that a reduction in the number of specialists in this field causes concern in the economy of any country. Therefore, at present, the organization of advanced STEAM experiments and the effective use of STEAM educational software are becoming increasingly important in the education systems of developed countries. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of using the STEAM project method, integrative scientific and technological, engineering, art, and mathematical education (STEAM), on the development of interest among students in the field of physics. The study was attended by 212 second-year students from Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov. Research work was carried out in both groups during the training of the course "Alternative energy sources.” In the control group, this course was taught in a traditional way, and in the experimental group, classes based on STEAM projects were conducted. The educational process continued for 15 weeks. Pre-and post-participation calculations, especially surveys and progress calculations, are used to create student scores. The results of the study indicate that STEAM products developed by the authors together with students and used in the educational process are effective. The increase in progressive results in the observation of the physics parse was high, and the progressives were included. Student relationships in physics increased by 35% in the experimental group compared to the previous 10%. Through the implementation of the STEAM projects, it was noticed that students’ interest in physics increased significantly. This article presents STEAM educational resources and materials developed by the authors and recommendations for their use in the educational process. © 2024, Qubahan. All rights reserved.

This study aims to identify conditions, challenges, and innovations in implementing Hybrid learning based on Project-based learning at Vocational Schools in Indonesia after the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a literature study with English and Indonesian language research journals from 2018 to 2022. Journal was tracing or articles conducted on several journal databases, namely Google Scholar, Scopus, IEEE, and ScienceDirect. The results of this study show that the implementation of hybrid learning can accelerate the mastery of technology by both teachers and students because the implementation of hybrid learning utilizes technological sophistication, but there are still challenges that teachers and students must face after the pandemic, namely, learning loss. Therefore, schools and digital businesses have begun to develop innovations in technology to improve the quality of student learning in the implementation of project-based learning-based hybrid learning, such as LMS and e-Learning developed by schools, Google Classroom, Edmodo, Quipper, Zoom, and Moodle. This research will be used as a foundation for future research to identify and develop a project-based learning strategy or hybrid learning model in Indonesian Vocational High Schools following the pandemic. © 2024 Author(s).

Purpose: Intimate partner violence (IPV) involves any form of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse including controlling behaviors by an intimate partner. Front line service workers such as social workers, nurses, lawyers, and physicians are often the first professionals to come into contact with individuals experiencing IPV but are often inadequately prepared to respond appropriately as IPV education is highly variable. Experiential learning (EL), also known as learning by doing, has gained much attention from educators; however, the extent and type of EL strategies used to teach IPV competencies has not yet been explored. Our aim was to extract what is known from the literature about the use of EL strategies to teach IPV competencies to front line service providers. Methods: We conducted a search from May 2021 through November 2021. Reviewers independently screened citations in duplicate using pre-determined eligibility criteria. Data collected included study demographics (publication year, country, etc.), study participants, and information about the IPV EL. Results: Of 5216 identified studies, 61 were included. Medicine and nursing represented the majority of learners in the included literature. Graduate students were the targeted learners in 48% of articles. Low fidelity EL was used most frequently in 48% of the articles; and role play was the EL mode most frequently utilized (39%) overall. Conclusions: This scoping review provides a comprehensive overview of the limited literature on how EL is used to teach IPV competencies and identifies significant gaps related to the lack of intersectional analysis within educational interventions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2023.

Enhancing graduate employability is an increasing focus within higher education, however, although part-time work is a majority experience for students the skills gained through non-professional employment are often treated as having limited value in constructions of graduate employability. This paper engages in dialogue with a series of viewpoint and research articles in this journal advocating the accreditation of this work by higher education institutions to increase its influence in graduate recruitment. Specifically, these articles challenge students to improve their employability by reflecting on and documenting their part-time work experiences in support of this accreditation approach. In doing so, it is assumed employers will value this work experience and that such accreditation will improve graduates’ employment prospects. In response, reflecting on a study of Australian business students (N = 92), this paper highlights tensions associated with students’ part-time work and the perceived employability-enhancing value of what is typically characterised by employers as non-relevant, and therefore non-valuable, work experience. The paper concludes by suggesting that shifting the challenge for recognising the value of non-professional work experience away from students and universities and toward industry and employers is more likely to yield improved graduate employment results for students transitioning from education to graduate employment. © The Author(s) 2023.
