University graduates not in employment and training in Azerbaijan lack relevant skills and knowledge that would make them eligible for post-graduation opportunities. The SABAH project aimed to address this problem. This article explores the perceived benefits of this advanced education program for students’ eligibility for post-graduation opportunities, such as employment. 25 undergraduate students majoring in the fields of human resource management, teaching English as a foreign language, business administration, law, economic science and earth sciences were interviewed for this research paper. Two key dimensions of perceptions were highlighted: the search for novelties in university training and the future-oriented advantages of education programs. Data analysis is based on the concept that the SABAH program emerges as a ‘change maker’ in educational practice due to its novelty of bringing business partners to classrooms and arranging job placements tailored to students’ personal and professional profiles. The study also concluded that integrating the international and intercultural dimensions of education in higher education delivery and engaging potential employers in teaching processes can help students develop the competencies needed for employment and facilitate graduates’ access to post-graduation opportunities. © 2023 Educational Studies Association of Ireland.

Information and communications technology (ICT) has an enormous impact on defining what the classroom and the learning process are in the 21st century. It became necessary to include these resources in the educational environment to improve and make the educational process more efficient. The objective of this article is to identify the ICT educational tools developed, associated, and applied in the field of higher engineering education (EE). Therefore, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is performed to consider the different tools present in interactive learning environments and the context in which they are applied. The research questions developed through the PICO method are: What ICTs (interactive tools) have been developed or found to enrich the different smart learning environments and engage active learning in engineering in the past three years? This is then deconstructed in sub-research investigation questions: Q1: How many ICT tools with application in Higher Education for Engineering have been developed or applied in the last three years? Q2: Which are the areas of application or subjects in which its use is appropriate? Q3: What role do the ICT tools perform in the educational process or in the different teaching-learning environments? The SLR allowed to identify the areas for further exploration, grouping them together and explaining the purpose of the different tools and their application. VOSviewer was used to visually analyse network maps of co-occurrence of authors Keywords, as well as others that prove to be decisive in characterizing the methodological approach to teaching and in the categorization of tools. Active learning classrooms are now and, in the future, the key point to the evolution of teaching and learning. Teacher performance during the COVID-19 pandemic is an issue in several countries. This article presents a systematic review of literature related to teachers’ performance in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers’ performance includes pre, process, and post-learning activities. The writing of this article was assisted by Publish or Perish 7, Mendeley, VOSviewer, and NVIVO 12 Plus applications. The search for articles in Scopus-indexed journals is limited to 2020-2022. From the search results on Publish or Perish 7, 200 Scopus-indexed articles were selected according to compatible themes into 50 articles. The findings of the theme/topic are teaching performance, clinical competence, work engagement, schools, teacher attitude, covid-19, digital teaching, online activity, distance learning, distance teaching, online learning, education innovation, online exam, digital competence, teacher training, pedagogical practices, etc. These 50 articles were analyzed according to the topic through the NVIVO 12 Plus application, and the results were described according to the research question. The findings of this article mention that teachers’ performance is facing a pandemic determined by mastery of digital devices, digital competencies, digital management, and administration, and others realized through training in the use of digital technology. The Ontario College Advanced Diploma requires three years of post-secondary education and the attainment of learning outcomes like those of a three-year baccalaureate degree. Except for one other Canadian province, no similar academic credential is awarded by colleges in Canada or the United States. For these reasons it has been viewed by some as an anomalous academic credential. This article relates how Ontario colleges came to offer such a rare credential and how the credential survived for over half a century. Employing the concept of path dependence, the origins of the advanced diploma are traced back to the institutes of technology that were first established in Ontario in the 1940s. The article employs a mix of historical inquiry, document analysis, enrolment trend analysis, and literature review methodologies. © 2023, Canadian Society for Studies in Higher Education. Virtual laboratory (VL) has become increasingly popular in Post-COVID-19 to support practical learning in the remote learning system. The use of VL was responded to by students with different attitudes. This study discusses the factors that influence the perception of Industrial Electrical Engineering (IEE) students in responding to the use of the VL in the learning process of the Electrical Machines Practicum Course. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), students’ attitudes toward using VL (are influenced by perceived ease of use (PEU) and perceived usefulness (PU). At the same time, PU also acts as an intervening variable. The research involved IEE students of the Electrical Engineering Department, at Universitas Negeri Padang. Data collection was carried out by survey using a questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using variant-based structural equation modelling (SEM), with partial least square (PLS) or PLS-SEM. The results showed a significant positive effect between PEU and PU from the VL used against A. PU’s role as an intervener was also positive in mediating the effect of PEU on A so it became more prominent. Thus, it can be concluded that PEU and PU are the factors that must be considered in choosing VL to be applied to a practical learning process in the remote learning system. © 2023 by the authors of this article. The purpose of this research is to get the views of students on the development of personality-oriented personal development with digital technologies in the field of modern education. The phenomenology design, which is suitable for the nature of the research, was used among the qualitative research designs. The study group for the research consists of 33 university students studying at various universities in Kazakhstan. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used as a data collection tool in the study. As a result of the research, the majority of the students stated that they did not receive training with digital technologies related to their personality-oriented personal development. On the other hand, the majority of the students stated that they were willing to receive training with digital technologies related to their personality-oriented personal development. The students participating in the research offered suggestions for the content, form, and duration of the training programs related to the development of their personality-oriented personal development with digital technologies. Suggestions for the content of the training include training in digital technologies for personal development, communication skills, time management training, effective working techniques training, stress management training, speed reading memory techniques training, art training, and innovation and creativity training. © 2023 by the authors of this article. Purpose: Vocational education and training (VET) in Finland takes place more and more at workplaces. Hence, the teachers' cooperation with companies has become important. Little research has been done on the teacher's activities in business cooperation and the factors affecting business cooperation. The teacher's decisions and choices are made possible through the teacher's autonomy and agency. The teacher's agency is understood as a capacity to utilise autonomy. In this study, the teacher's agency is reflected in their activity in developing entrepreneurial learning environments and activity in developing regional entrepreneurship education (EE). The study was conducted among Finnish VET teachers. In Finland EE is understood in its broad sense and the teacher is in a significant position choosing where, how and with whom they implement EE. The main research question in this article is: How does the VET teacher's agency in EE affect their cooperation with entrepreneurs? Methods: The data consists of 933 vocational teachers' responses. An open online survey tailored for teachers was used in the data collection (Measurement Tool for Entrepreneurship Education). Ordinal regression analysis has been used to analyse the data. Results: The teacher's agency is a significant factor explaining his/her level of cooperation with entrepreneurs. The results show that the teacher's activity, desire, and ability to express agency, strengthens the use of companies in teaching. Surprisingly, the teacher's personal entrepreneurial background and the number of companies in the area do not act as explanatory factors for entrepreneurs' cooperation. The study makes several suggestions on teachers' perceptions of the factors explaining and creating agency as an entrepreneurship educator. Conclusions: In Finland, teachers' autonomy is high. Teachers have the freedom to utilise their agency in many ways. They can, for example, make their own decisions and renew their teaching in many ways if they are willing and encouraged to do so. It seems like the question is more about management and teacher identity. The teacher's agency should be strengthened, and the teacher should be given the option to act more freely. INTRODUCTION: Tourism management is a critical factor in developing quality human resources. Establishing a scientific and practical system to assess the quality of tourism management and identify and improve problems in tourism management is essential to ensure the quality of tourism management and realize human development goals. OBJECTIVES: In order to solve the current problems of China's tourism management, such as weak teachers, STEAM being too "soft," and leadership being too "hard," the concept of STEAM distance learning, literature analysis and other research methods are proposed, and the quality assessment system of tourism management for the bachelor's degree in tourism management is researched in the standard documents of education and management and related literature. METHODS: Established through interviews with qualified experts, tourism teachers, tourism professionals and others. Factor analysis was used to adjust the system of indicators for tourism students and define an evaluation system consisting of level 1 and corresponding level 2 indicators to determine the weights of the indicators. RESULTS: The results show that students are satisfied with "average" internships. The lowest level of satisfaction was with the "evaluation of the training process," but this indicator was the highest. Further analysis of the results suggests insufficient investment in professional practice in tourism management. CONCLUSION: This paper argues that the empirical research and analysis of the current tourism management students can be used to understand the accurate evaluation of tourism management activities based on the solution of the existing problems to improve students' innovative and practical abilities. © 2023 Wei, licensed to EAI. The topic of employability has been much discussed in higher education policy and research contexts in recent years, as higher education has been re-positioned as a means to an end rather than an end in itself. This article aims to review and synthesise the various arguments that have been made in favour of, or against, the adoption of employability as a core purpose or value of higher education. The article makes use of the techniques of systematic review. It discusses the origins and meaning of the term employability, its application and practice, and the issues and critiques that it has raised. © 2023 The Author(s).
