Purpose: This article examines the role of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in a green transition of industry. In the world of industry, battling climate change is often treated as a technical issue, but recent research on VET has tried to balance the technological paradigm with more human-centric approaches. The literature review addresses emergent VET research that presents various and partially competing perspectives on the purpose of VET in relation to climate change. Methods: We use an integrative literature review to investigate this complex topic. This technique is particularly useful for making sense of emergent research concepts, as well as various, and partially competing, theoretical and methodological approaches. It also allows us to incorporate literature from different countries and VET systems. The main search was performed in Scopus during March 2023, and included studies published within a timespan of eight years (2016–2023). Findings: Through a qualitative content analysis, we have identified five cross-cutting themes in the literature: Conceptualising ill-defined concepts of green jobs and skills; high-tech solutions in the movement towards a fourth industrial revolution versus inclusive growth for VET greening; towards sustainable work-based learning for green skills in VET; radical transformative approaches to a just green transition; and the co-creation of skill-formation ecosystems. The analysis has highlighted the ways in which VET can take on different roles in the green transition, and that these roles can be developed successively in parallel with a green transition in industry. In the development of the role of VET, it is also relevant to consider the contrast between transitional approaches and transformative approaches in VET research. While transitional approaches are recurrently marked by empirical research in specialised areas and subsystems within society, transformative approaches are characterised by a stronger focus on societal transformation (large-scale changes), power dynamics, and social justice. Conclusion: In conclusion, we suggest an analytical model that synthesises research on what role VET can play in a green transition of industry. The development model highlights that VET can take on different roles in a green transition and can gradually develop in parallel with a green transition in industry. © 2023 European Research Network Vocational Education and Training. Project-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered form of instruction which focuses on students’ investigation, participation, collaboration and solving problems in real world practices. It has been identified to be a multitude of strategies critical for success in the 21st century. This paper examines the evolution of PBL research in and outside mainland China by using visualization analysis with CiteSpace. First, we retrieve 2624 English language articles from Web of Science (WoS), and 521 Chinese language articles from CNKI respectively during the period from 2000 to 2021. By analyzing publication trends, core countries/regions, core institutions, core journals, this paper identifies the development trajectories and topical trends of PBL research in mainland Chinese and international journals. Second, according to the timeline of visualization of the major clusters in international journals, as well as time zone view of keywords and citation with strongest bursts in mainland Chinese journals, this paper expounds upon the intellectual base and evolution process of each stage in each field. The researchers focus on different research issues with different perspectives in and outside mainland China, while few cross-border research collaborations are observed among them. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions for researchers and educators, including in-depth study of PBL hot topics, introduction of international projects, encouragement of academic exchanges, etc., in order to better establish international contacts, create opportunities for cross-border cooperation and promote the development of PBL. # 2023 TEMPUS Publications.

The outcomes of competency-based medical education (CBME), is becoming increasingly important, especially for general practitioners (GPs). a study "Management of the quality of training of general practitioners (family doctors)", the aim of which is to determine the priority competencies of GPs (family doctors) of the Russian Federation. As the main research approach in the ascertaining experiment, the Delphi method is proposed to use. The respondents are GPs with experience in practical healthcare, general practice residents, teachers of departments of general practice. Conclusion. The planned research is of high significance for the theory and practice of professional education, in particular the training of GPs. Scientific rationale of GP qualification characteristics, which are the target component of the educational system for training GPs, will make it possible to determine the patterns of the educational process and the principles for selecting the content of educational programs, as well as methodological systems and conditions for training GPs. Ranking competencies according to their importance in professional activities by GPs (family doctors) of the Russian Federation will help determine key competencies and will make it possible to see the position of doctors in the priority of GP activities, which is directly related to assessing the healthcare quality. © 2023 Vserossiiskoe Obshchestvo Kardiologov. A practical government policy on apprenticeship is a requirement to continuously advance and encourage the company toward top performance and adaptability for a long-term sustainability. In Nigeria, which has a significant young unemployment problem, apprenticeship has emerged as a key to reducing youth unemployment. Thus, sustainability of family businesses is a source of employment, and continuing apprenticeship practices have also raised the likelihood that an individual will obtain employment in the southern regions of Nigeria. This study aimed to examine how job creation, vocational and technical training, and apprentice competences aid in sustaining family business growth in southern Nigeria. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey and stratified sampling technique; a sample included 329 apprentices in 48 SMEs in southern regions of Nigeria. Using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, data were analyzed using a normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test to ascertain the adequacy of the data. Correlation analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Findings revealed that job creation is related to sustainable family business growth; however, the strength of the correlation, though weak (30.0%), was statistically significant; a significant degree of association also existed between apprentice vocational training and sustainable family business growth; lastly, apprentice competences relate significantly to sustainable family business growth (72.1%, p < 0.05). The study concluded that continuous apprenticeship practices influence the objective of business growth as a pivot for socioeconomic development and a long-term sustainability of family businesses. © The author(s) 2023. In today’s digital era, interactive learning media is the right solution to improve the quality of effective and efficient learning. An active engagement between students and learning media using iSpring Suite can enhance student understanding and enthusiasm and motivate students in teaching and learning. This research aims to create Android-based interactive media using iSpring Suite for electric lighting installation learning materials. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4-D development model. This research consists of several stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating, and was conducted using validation sheet instruments. The results of this study indicated that the learning media experts confirmed that it was 93.8% valid. At the same time, the materials experts confirmed that it was 90.8% valid. Based on the validity percentage, Android-based interactive learning media using iSpring Suite is highly recommended for electric lighting installations subject. Background. Programs to improve the quality of higher education in recent decades have kept the lead in the relevance among researchers around the world. In this scientific work, the purpose was to highlight modern existing programs in the postgraduate education of doctors in the Republic, review the academic competencies from other countries of the world, develop recommendations for improving the organizational structure of educational methods, as well as to increase significantly the effectiveness of the additional educational process. Materials and methods. When writing the work, methods such as analysis, synthesis, review of literary sources, humanitarian and dialectical were used. Results. The results of the research were as follows: the application of competence-oriented adaptation programs in the training of graduates, the reorientation of the system of additional medical education in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the development and implementation of a learning model based on pedagogical prognosis, communication logistics, engineering technologies and the humanitarian and creative approach among all participants in the educational process. Conclusions. The result of the article included the development of recommendations for the correct and modern adaptation of a doctor to changing conditions and requirements of the labour market in the Kyrgyz Republic given the volatility of this market and its sensitivity to changes in the economy and the psychological attitudes of the society. © 2023. Introduction: Frequent resignation of young workers brings huge costs to the organizational management of enterprises. The frequent turnover behavior is a sign of low career identity, and exploring the paths that influence career identity behaviors is necessary. Previous studies have found that internship satisfaction and the psychological contract can influence career identity behavior. However, the dimensions of the psychological contract are unclear, and it is uncertain whether internship satisfaction can influence career identity behavior through the different dimensions of the psychological contract. This study attempts to expand the concept of psychological contract and construct a multiple mediation model. It aims to analyze the mediating role of different dimensions of the psychological contract between internship satisfaction and career identity behavior. Methods: A sample survey was conducted on Chinese fresh graduates by way of the questionnaire survey, and a total of 576 valid questionnaires were collected. Amos 26.0 was used to analyze the data and verify the multiple mediation model. Results: The results showed that psychological contract can be divided into three dimensions: transactional contract, relational contract, and developmental contract. Internship satisfaction can positively influence career identity behavior via the three dimensions of psychological contract, and there are differences in mediating effects among the dimensions. The mediating effect of developmental contract is the highest, relational contract is the second, and transactional contract is the lowest. Discussion: This article expands the dimensions of psychological contract, emphasizes the importance of developmental contract, contributes to the literature on organizational psychology, and provides scales and empirical evidence for future research. The analysis points out that fresh graduates with long-term development opportunities often show higher career identity behavior. This provides valuable insights for enhancing career identity behavior, improving career sustainability, and assisting organizations in managing human resource mobility. © © 2023 Feng, Zhang, Zeng and Liu.

Motives: Little is known about the occupational mobility of Poles. In the literature, only the impact of socio-demographic factors on occupational mobility has been investigated. Occupational mobility may be influenced by educational attainment and the type of acquired qualifications, but these considerations have not been studied to date. Aim: The article examines occupational mobility, namely changes in occupation in a person’s professional history, as well as declared willingness (readiness) to change occupation within 12 months. The presented results of empirical research are based on a unique set of data collected during a CAWI survey performed on a sample of 16,119 Poles aged 18-65. An event history analysis and a logit model were used to analyse occupational mobility and its determinants. Results: The event history analysis revealed that Poles often change their learnt occupation. The results of the logit model indicate that the occupational mobility of Poles is influenced not only by demographic factors, but also by the acquired qualifications. Occupational mobility differed among respondents who acquired their qualifications at university, in a secondary school, or through vocational training. University graduates were characterized by the highest occupational mobility. Occupation mobility was influenced not only by educational attainment, but also by the type of acquired qualifications. Occupational mobility was highest among services and humanities graduates, and lowest among education and health graduates. Moreover, we found no evidence of significant spatial differences in occupational mobility in Poland. © 2023 Publisher of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. All rights reserved.

For university graduates, employability is directly linked to the education they have received in specific competencies, because after completing their studies, they must demonstrate acquisition of the abilities, attitudes, values, and skills that will help them compete in the labour market. One of the strategies that universities use to enhance labour market insertion for their graduates is offering up to date education that can generate useful, dynamic knowledge. To do this, they need to understand the demands of the labour market, and studies that track former students after graduation are one of the most useful tools available for this purpose. The aim of the research reported here was to analyse the competencies that best improve graduate employability, using results from the 2021 Labour Market Insertion Study performed by the Agency for Quality in the Galician University System (ACSUG). That study had a quantitative methodological focus and applied a descriptive, non-experimental research design, with a questionnaire used to collect information. Stratified random sampling was applied based on particular degrees and campuses, for a total sample of 842 graduates in the field of Education Sciences. The most notable results include the observation that the most highly valued competencies are Learning abilities, Problem-solving ability, Motivation, and Adaptability, while those with the lowest average scores were Foreign language knowledge, Creativity, and Leadership ability. A discussion is presented comparing the study’s results with the existing perspectives summarised in the first part of the article, and the main conclusions are considered through an analysis of previous research. © 2023 University of Granada. Combining and applying the health education concept and industry-education integration provides new ideas for reforming project-based Civic Education teaching and cultivating talents. This paper first analyzes the development of the health education concept and industry-education integration in general and discusses the health education concept and the reform of a project-based Civic Education curriculum based on industry-education integration. Secondly, based on project-based teaching and curriculum Civics, it analyzes the Civics elements of project-based teaching curriculum and the design of Civics teaching in the project-based teaching curriculum. Finally, based on the study of project-based teaching course Civics education, we analyze the course structure and course evaluation of project-based teaching course Civics education. The results show that: in the construction of the curriculum structure of the project-based teaching course Civics teaching, the setting of its professional curriculum structure does not match the current talent training objectives; 39.41% of teachers choose the curriculum structure of a single process of the subject system, 56.04% choose the curriculum structure of integration of science and practice, and only 13.56% choose the curriculum structure of combination type to meet the needs of talent training objectives. It is proved that constructing a project-based teaching curriculum integrating industry-teaching based on health education concepts can promote the transformation and development of Civic Science teaching. © 2023 ThinkBiotech LLC.
