Introduction: in the last decade, publications on internships in the field of Physical Education have increased significantly. It is assumed that the constant changes in the guidelines underlying initial teacher training impact the organization and development of internships, both in Brazil and internationally, leading to a growing number of studies on the subject. Objective: this study aims to provide an updated perspective on scientific production regarding the practicum in the training of Physical Education teachers, with a focus on identifying the presence of the supervising professor in these studies. Methodology: a systematic literature review was conducted using the electronic databases Scielo, SCOPUS, EBSCO, and Web of Science, including studies in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. After applying inclusion and eligibility criteria, 25 articles published between 2012 and 2023 were analyzed. Results: the results were organized based on methodology, objectives, and main findings. Discussion: the discussion focused on the initial research questions, including the accumulated body of work found and the most common publication venues, the predominant research methodologies, recurring and emerging themes, and, ultimately, the role of university professors as internship supervisors in the analyzed studies. Conclusions: regarding both Brazilian and international scientific production on university professors who supervise internships, few studies were found, highlighting the need for further research to investigate who is responsible for guiding this crucial stage of initial teacher training. © 2025 Federacion Espanola de Docentes de Educacion Fisica. Purpose: This article reviews the intercultural adaptability (IA) development models for students in South Korea and China in response to the growing internationalisation of higher education. The article provides significant implications for Confucian heritage culture (CHC) countries and others that wish to enhance in higher education. Design/methodology/approach: This scoping review systematically investigates the literature on different IA development strategies for students in higher education across these two Asian countries. Findings: South Korea has promoted the self-growth model reflected in internationalised programmes such as English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), an international learning environment with an increasing number of international students and student exchange programmes. Through these initiatives, domestic students’ identity and intercultural learning dynamics are enriched in an intercultural learning environment. Meanwhile, China has adopted the “Outward-oriented” higher education internationalisation model to attract international students to study in Chinese universities and entice Chinese returnees through its International Talent Training Programmes. In this strategy, international students are exposed to Chinese language and cultural knowledge development programmes, and Chinese students are motivated to learn the English language and cultures through interactions with their international peers. Originality/value: Student IA development models in CHC countries remain underexplored. This article responds to the need of higher education institutions in Asian countries that wish to access and learn from effective IA models from other CHC countries. The study makes a valuable contribution by putting forward significant recommendations for developing students’ IA in CHC countries. © 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited.

The relationship between exercise, obesity, and related issues has currently become a hot topic in international research. This article uses 1745 articles on “Exercise and Obesity” included in the Web of Science Core Collection as the data source, and conducts bibliometric analysis on the obtained data using CiteSpace V. The research results indicate that the field of exercise and obesity research is currently in the stage of internalization and absorption, and there is a need to increase support and investment in innovative research to ensure the sustainable development of this field; At the same time, academic teams and research institutions should strengthen interaction and cooperation, promote knowledge sharing, innovative research methods, and interdisciplinary integration. From the trend of research, the public's attention to this topic is gradually shifting from scattered to concentrated. The future focus will be on the effectiveness of exercise interventions, individual differences, and interdisciplinary cooperation, to provide scientifically precise strategies for the prevention and treatment of obesity. © 2025 The Authors.

This article aims to describe, from both theoretical and methodological perspectives, the characteristics of the World Café as a participatory technique particularly flexible to the context in which it is employed, thanks to its ability to create informal and relaxed settings as opportunities to generate and share knowledge. The authors trace its origins and guiding principles, explore its possibilities of application — both in-person and online settings —, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses in the fields of research, teaching and education, as a methodology capable of promoting and fostering empowerment, soft skills and social change among participants. © 2025 Nadia Rania, Arianna Marci, Ilaria Coppola.

This paper systematically reviews the demand for real-time streaming services in the education sector over the period 2020–2023. The systematic review analyzes the effects of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in education, focusing on the need for real-time streaming services. These technologies have grown significantly in education, enabling collaborative and immersive experiences. VR, supported by leading streaming platforms, has facilitated distance education, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology was based on searching for articles in databases such as Ebsco, Springer, IEEE, ScienceDirect, and Scopus. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, creating a final sample of 60 papers, with a geographical distribution highlighting the important role of China and the United States. The results indicate that changes in education, the focus on VR, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic are the main drivers of demand for educational streaming. This led to a rapid adoption of online educational platforms. Challenges to implementing streaming services include a lack of training in educational institutions and a lack of practice in certain areas. Content customization, video quality, and adequate technological infrastructure are the most sought-after functionalities by users. © 2025 by the authors of this article. Published under CC-BY.

This article highlights the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in preparing students for careers in AI- driven industries by outlining methods to enhance students' Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy. The article finds major gaps in the current TVET curriculum, which do not adequately address the demands of vocational students by combining AI principles and practical applications. To address this issue, the authors suggest a curriculum design framework that incorporates AI literacy modules linked to employability skills to ensure their relevance and usefulness. To determine the long- term impact of AI literacy programs on job readiness, this chapter suggests looking at how well teacher training programs scale AI literacy projects and how creative AI technologies can improve learning outcomes. This article persuasively advocates for the integration of AI into vocational education, enabling students to acquire the necessary skills in a world where AI is becoming increasingly significant. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing. Background: While adolescents are an at-risk group that is in a process of developmental crisis and requires guidance for adjustment. They may be traumatized by challenging conditions due to the negative experiences they are socially exposed to. Having to work is one of the most important social problems that increases the risk situation of this group. Roy's Adaptation Model is also quite suitable for use in interventions and research addressing developmental groups. It is believed that the adaptation of the individual to a new situation in their life contributes to their capacity to improve their health and increase their quality of life. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effects of a Health Education Program based on Roy's Adaptation Model on the healthy lifestyle behaviors and self-esteem levels of working adolescents. Design: This study was designed as a randomized controlled trial. Method: The study was conducted at a vocational training center in Turkey between March 14 and June 13, 2022. The sample consisted of 66 adolescents aged 14–18 years (intervention: 30; control: 36) trained at the Vocational Apprenticeship and Training Center. The adolescents in the intervention group participated in an 8-session program for 4 weeks. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale II, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSE). Data collection took place before the program started, immediately after its completion, and 3 months later. This document was prepared in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Analyses of Randomized Controlled Trials (CONSORT) guidelines. Results: A significant difference was found between the intervention and control groups in favor of the intervention group in terms of their Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale II scores in the 2nd measurement and their RSE score in the 3rd measurement. Conclusion: The Health Education Program based on Roy's Adaptation Model is effective in increasing the healthy lifestyle behaviors and self-esteem of working adolescents. Objective: We evaluated the willingness and influencing factors of Chinese medical students to donate an organ. Methods: A total of 17 articles on the willingness of Chinese medical students to donate organs and related influencing factors were collected from domestic and foreign databases. The retrieval period was from the inception of the database to August 31, 2023. RevMan5.3 software was used to conduct a meta-analysis of the binary data in the included literature, and meta-integration was performed on the influencing factors of organ donation. Results: In this study, we found that 52% of medical students in China (95% confidence interval, 39%–66%) were willing to donate organs. A subgroup analysis showed that clinical medical students (69%) had greater willingness to donate than nursing students (27%), and medical students in the western region (58%) had a greater willingness to donate than those in the eastern region (51%). Studies with a small sample size (54%) found a greater willingness to donate than studies with a large sample size (49%), and the difference was statistically significant (P < .001). Fifty influencing factors were summarized in the included study, categorizing them into 10 categories, and further integrating them into 3 factors, namely personal factors, family factors, and social factors. Conclusions: The willingness to organs donation among medical students in China remains at a moderate level, and the demonstration effect has not been reflected fully. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

Aim(s): To explore barriers, facilitators, and practical implications of educating a nurse practitioner in hospital at home setting from the perspective of the nurse practitioner in training, healthcare professionals, educators, and managers. Background: Hospital at home care is considered promising to deal with current healthcare challenges. Nurse practitioners can have a pivotal role in delivering hospital at home care. Currently there is limited knowledge on education of nurse practitioners in this setting. Design: A generic qualitative study. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the nurse practitioner in training, educators, healthcare professionals, and managers working at the hospital or community care organization. The interviews focused on experiences, barriers, and facilitators related to learning and working in the hospital at home setting. Data were coded and thematised. Results: The following six themes emerged: 1) Provide care aligned with the patient's journey; 2) Articulating a clear vision on training in the hospital at home setting; 3) Integrated learning and working requires a wide range of competencies; 4) Integrated learning requires a coherent and motivated team; 5) Practical obstacles require a pragmatic approach; and 6) Clarity on the positioning of nurse practitioners is essential. Conclusions: The findings show that an educational trajectory for a nurse practitioner in a hospital at home setting can be successfully established. Various factors were identified that need to be considered in the development and executing of such learning trajectory. Organizations are recommended to take shared responsibility for these learning trajectories. Reporting method: EQUATOR guidelines.
