Aim/Purpose The purpose of this article is to provide an overview and analysis of the emerg ing research landscape surrounding the integration of ChatGPT into education. The main problem appears to be that this is a new, rapidly developing research area for which there is no comprehensive synthesis of the current literature. The aim of the article is to fill this gap by conducting a timely bibliometric study to map publication trends, influential works, themes, and opportunities, thus representing the growth and structure of ChatGPT educational research. Background This article addresses the issue of the lack of a comprehensive synthesis of the new research on ChatGPT in education by conducting a bibliometric analysis. Specifically, the authors use statistical and network analysis techniques to examine the patterns of publication, citation, and keywords and map the growth, contributions, themes, structure, and opportunities in this evolving field. The bibliometric approach provides a comprehensive, evidence-based overview of the current state of the literature to uncover trends and gaps and help researchers improve their understanding of appropriate and effective applications of ChatGPT in educational contexts. Methodology The authors used bibliometric analysis as the primary method to summarize the new research on ChatGPT in education. We searched the database of the Web of Science Core Collection to find 51 relevant documents from 2023 that included ChatGPT in the title and were classified as ‘educational research.’ The sample consisted of these 51 documents, including articles, early access articles, editorials, reviews, and letters. Statistical techniques examined publication, citation, and keyword patterns. Network analysis visualized citation and cooccurrence networks to reveal intellectual structure. The multifaceted bibliometric approach allowed a comprehensive study of the sample from a productive, conceptual, and intellectual perspective. Contribution This article conducts comprehensive bibliometric analysis of this emerging re search area and synthesizes publication, citation, and keyword data to map the growth and structure of the literature. The results reveal important trends, such as the rapid growth of publications since the release of ChatGPT, initial authorship patterns, the focus on higher education applications, and distinct research clusters around pedagogical, ethical, and assessment issues. Visualizing citation networks identifies seminal studies while mapping co-occurrence clarifies conceptual relationships between topics. The comparative analysis highlights the differences between document types, topics, and time periods. Knowledge mapping highlights gaps in the literature, such as lack of focus on K-12 contexts, and highlights opportunities for further research. Findings Key findings from this bibliometric analysis of the emerging research landscape surrounding ChatGPT integration in education include the following: • Since ChatGPT was released in late 2022, the number of releases has increased significantly, indicating rapid growth in this emerging space. • The most cited authors initially came primarily from Anthropic, but over time, the citations spread throughout the research community. • The topics focused primarily on higher education applications, with a clear focus on pedagogical strategies, ethical risks, and implications for assessment. • Citation networks visualized seminal studies, while the co-occurrence of keywords clarified conceptual connections. • Gaps such as applications in the K-12 context were uncovered, and opportunities for further research were highlighted. • The literature is rapidly evolving and requires ongoing monitoring of the development of this field. In general, the analysis presents the productivity, contributors, themes, structure, and opportunities in this emerging area around the integration of ChatGPT in education based on current scientific evidence. The key findings focus on the growing early interest, gaps and developments that can provide insight for researchers and educators. Recommendations Practitioners should carefully integrate ChatGPT into education based on new for Practitioners evidence, carefully assess contextual applicability, and proactively develop guide lines for ethical and equitable implementation. Ongoing advice, impact monitoring, and research partnerships are crucial to informing best practices. Educators must be vigilant for risks such as privacy, student well-being, and competence impairment while staying abreast of advances in knowledge to dynamically adapt integration strategies. The introduction should empower diverse learners through measured, integrative approaches based on continuous contextual analysis and ethical principles. Recommendations This article recommends that researchers conduct more studies in under- for Researchers researched contexts, use multiple methods to capture nuanced impacts, increase focus on responsible integration strategies, develop tailored assessments, conduct interdisciplinary collaborations, monitor long-term adoption, mix with interactive explain and publish open access technologies, help guide adoption pathways through actionable studies, and synthesize the exponentially growing literature through updated systematic reviews. Impact on Society The rapid publication growth and prevailing optimism suggest that the integration of ChatGPT into education will accelerate, increasing the need for rigorous research that guides ethical, responsible innovations that avoid risks and improve outcomes in all educational contexts. The findings have broader implications for guiding adoption trajectories through ongoing evidence synthesis and expanded investigations in under-researched areas to address knowledge gaps. Ultimately, continued monitoring and updated guidance are critical to ensure that ChatGPT’s educational penetration progresses carefully by maximizing benefits and minimizing harms in rapidly evolving AI-powered learning ecosystems. Future Research Based on the basic mapping provided by this paper, recommended research directions include longitudinal impact studies, research tailored to underresearched contexts such as K-12, qualitative research to capture stakeholder perspectives, development and testing of AI-calibrated assessments as well as explorations that combine conversational and interactive learning technologies, updated systematic reviews, and co-designed implementation research that explain pedagogical strategies that ethically unlock learning potential while mitigating risks in diverse educational environments. Such multilayered tracking can provide critical insights to guide context-specific, responsible ChatGPT integration and monitor impact within rapidly evolving AI-powered education ecosystems. © (2023), (Informing Science Institute). This study analyzes the effectiveness of virtual laboratory-based distance learning as a means of improving the learning outcomes of students’ cognitive abilities and practical skills in the Computer Numerical Control course. This study utilized a pre-experimental design with a onegroup pretest-posttest structure. The research subjects were 31 second-year vocational students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universitas Negeri Padang who had recently participated in four distance learning sessions. The research instruments included a pre-test, a post-test, and a student perception survey to assess the effectiveness of virtual laboratory treatment. The findings of this study demonstrate that the presence of a virtual laboratory enhances learning outcomes in terms of cognitive abilities. The pre-test value for cognitive abilities was 52.04, which increased to 82.36 in the post-test. Similarly, the pre-test value for practical skills was 56.98, which improved to 83.44 in the post-test. These improvements significantly contribute to the enhancement of learning outcomes, as indicated by an average N-gain value of 0.642 in the medium/effective category. We conclude that the use of virtual laboratory media through the Metaverse platform is effective for distance learning. This method reduces the initial requirement of 24 hours of face-to-face learning to just five hours of more effective self-study. © (2023) by the authors of this article . Published under CC-BY.

This explanatory research examines the development of biology learning programs for entrepreneurship through microbiology lectures in UK educational institutions. Specifically, it investigates the impact of bio-entrepreneurship learning and problem-based learning on students' attitudes towards bio-entrepreneurship, considering mediating roles of teaching styles and learners' interests. The quantitative methodology was adopted, with 244 students completing a survey questionnaire. Results showed bio-entrepreneurship learning and problem-based learning positively influence attitudes towards bio-entrepreneurship. Furthermore, teaching styles significantly mediated the relationship between learning approaches and attitudes. However, learners' interests did not mediate these associations. The study provides theoretical contributions on intersecting microbiology education and entrepreneurship. Practical implications highlight designing customized bio-entrepreneurship curricula by leveraging problem-based learning and effective instructional techniques. Limitations include contextual focus on the UK and lacking analysis of actual entrepreneurial activities. Introduction: The pharmacy profession is dynamic; continually expanding in new directions, offering interdisciplinary professional education and work-based learning opportunities. Many factors influence individual choices to study pharmacy and progression within the various sectors of pharmacy. Objectives: To review the career paths of Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences pharmacy graduates from the year 2015 to 2019, internship and community service placements and to explore current employment status. Methods: A descriptive and quantitative study design was followed using an online questionnaire that was originally developed using Google Forms®. The study sample included pharmacy graduates from 2015 to 2019. Researchers captured data from the questionnaires on Microsoft Office Excel™ (2016) spreadsheets. Key findings: The majority (78.1%) of the graduates are employed full time with only 5% unemployed. Most of the graduates felt well prepared for hospital pharmacy (64.2%) by the BPharm programmed offered at SMU with only a few graduates (5.3%) who felt that they were prepared for industrial pharmacy. It was also noted that 70.3% of the graduates are still at the operational level and only 4.4% are in executive positions. Recommendations and Conclusions: The response rate can be improved by allowing more time for graduates to respond. Graduates are advised to update their contact details on the SAPC register to facilitate communication with them. The pilot study demonstrated that the SMU School of Pharmacy had several graduates that are employed in the public sector as they felt best prepared for hospital pharmacy practice compared to any other sector. © the Authors.

With its capabilities, the Internet of Things (IoT) in the education sector can be implemented to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. IoT can be used as learning media and learning support infrastructure in the learning process in vocational education. This study aims to identify and study various IoT-based innovations implemented as learning media and learning support infrastructure in vocational education in Indonesia. A systematic review searches various published scientific papers with defined search criteria. The search results are studied based on publication trends, the type of IoT technology applied, the level of technology readiness, and an evaluation of the implementation of IoT. Through a search process using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) method, 16 relevant articles were found. The analysis results show that most of the publications were published in the last two years (38%) in journals and conferences. Seventy-five percent of the articles were in English, and 94% of the publications came from provinces in the Java Island. The Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of implementing IoT is 81% at level 4-5. This research shows that there are still wide-open opportunities for implementing IoT as learning media and learning support infrastructure for vocational education in Indonesia. © 2023 IEEE.

Tackling youth unemployment is at the heart of the current public debate. In this regards, to promote youth employability is often made reference to the importance of encouraging alternation between periods of training in the classroom and inside companies (dual education system). In this context, a fundamental role is played by the training setting and the skills of the operator of the dual education system, a professional figure (working at the educational institution) devoted to support students during their school-to-work experience. This article presents the main characteristics and results of an impact evaluation of the” Shape Work” program. Developed by the Luigi Clerici Foundation in the Lombardy Region in 2019, the program acted in an innovative way to boost the skills of operators in order to support the most vulnerable students. Purpose: This study attempts to provide a comprehensive knowledge mapping and an in-depth analysis of Outcome-based education (OBE) practices to identify the research hotspots and development trends in this field which emerged between 1985 and 2023. Method: This study conducted a descriptive bibliometric analysis of 685 articles retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) databases relevant to Outcome-based education. Microsoft Excel and VoSviewer were used to characterize the contributions of countries, institutions, authors, and collaborative networks. The research hot spots and development trends were analyzed by Citespace and Vosiviewer. Findings: The results highlighted that the USA, England, and China were the three primary contributors to the largest number of publications in this field. But China needs to prioritize the quality of publications. The University of Dundee, the University of Toronto, and the University of California System were the three most productive institutions with the highest number of publications. Harden R. M. stood out as one of the most prolific authors in this field. Medical Teacher and Medical Education were the two most productive journals. The teaching process, framework, quality assurance, impact, and engineering education were the highly discussed issues in recent years. Implications for Research and Practice: The identification of prolific scholars and highly cited articles serves as references for scholars and educators new to OBE, assisting them in enhancing their reading efficiency and tracking authoritative scholars. This study also suggests that the research institutions and authors should strengthen cross-regional and international cooperation to enhance the implementation of OBE in education. © 2023 Ani Publishing Ltd. Currently, the constantly changing social and economic environment requires children to broaden their horizons, cultivate broad and accurate professional knowledge and skills, and fully respond to the complex reality of career development in the 21st century. This article refers to the cases of industrial poverty alleviation and educational poverty alleviation in precision poverty alleviation policies, and develops a general strategy framework led by design. The purpose of this strategy is to guide educators and designers to design "project courses", apply teaching aids to vocational experience courses, and bring better teaching effects to children. In order to verify the effectiveness of this strategy, this study will explore and showcase it in the form of case studies, and reveal how this strategy was developed from raising questions to providing reference for the cultivation of talents in other fields. ©2023 IEEE.

The article discusses the main approaches of domestic organizations to the implementation of labor adaptation programs. Purpose. The analysis of the key socio-psychological and organizational aspects and methods of managing the process of labor adaptation, the stages of implementation of adaptation programs. Method. For theoretical and methodological analysis, topical works on social psychology and with an interdisciplinary approach were considered - a review of approaches in the interpretation of the concepts of “socio-psychological” and “labor” adaptation was conducted, practical methods of implementing the processes of organizing labor adaptation, the formation and implementation of adaptation programs were considered. The article also reflects the peculiarities of mentoring as an important component of the implementation of labor adaptation programs. As an illustration of the influence of organizational culture on aspects of the implementation of labor adaptation programs, the article presents some results of a comprehensive study of various organizational cultures. Results. There is insufficient attention to the organization of personnel adaptation in modern Russian organizations and insufficient expression of elements of organizational cultures, such as employee cooperation, mutual assistance, exchange of knowledge and experience, which play an important role in the implementation of adaptation measures for new employees. Based on the theoretical analysis and research data, the author proposes criteria for evaluating the results of labor adaptation and a typical structure of the labor adaptation program, which can be used in planning and analyzing the effectiveness of adaptation measures based on understanding the degree of involvement in the processes of its key subjects: the adaptant - mentor - manager - reference group (work team) - responsible representatives of the personnel service organizations. © 2023 National Research University, Higher School of Econoimics.
